Father’s Day

This makes me wonder sometimes.

Why do we set aside a special day for our fathers?

I mean, I can understand mothers.

They had to go through labor.

They had to breastfeed us.

But what did fathers do to necessarily earn the respect?

I’m not saying mine hasn’t, but it makes me wonder.

They expect us to give them this day, but, in my opinion, they don’t always deserve it.

I just feel like it’s another one of those holidays that hallmark created.

They just want your money.

It’s another reason to buy a card.

It’s really stupid when you think about it.

I mean, we all have birthdays, and we all get something for them…

But I don’t have another day committed to just me.

It’s just wrong in my own opinion.

That’s why I don’t give anything for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.

Sorry about this rant.

I always find something to complain about.
